Reports reaching IVOTESNG says the Imo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has expelled the state governor, Rochas Okorocha.
The APC in Imo state has been engulfed in crisis, following the insistence by the governor to install his son-in-law as the governorship candidate of the party in the forthcoming elections.
The governor was expelled on Monday, for allegedly engaging in anti-party activities, as well as violating the constitution of the party.
IVOTESNG gathered that the recommendations of the APC working committee in the state which expelled Mr Okorocha, has been forwarded to the national Secretariat of the party for immediate action and update to INEC.
Those expelled alongside Okorocha are Ugonna Ozuruigbo, Hon Nnanna Igbokwe, Hon Chike Okafor,Mr Obinna Mbata, and Chief Emmanuel Ojinere.
