The President of the Senate, Dr Bukola Saraki, says the senate will commence debate on the general principles of the 2019 Appropriation Bill.
Saraki, who made the announcement at the plenary on Tuesday said the debate would end on March 19.
He also urged the lawmakers to put their names on the plenary register for compilation to ensure orderly debate.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the Second Reading of the 2019 Budget was suspended due to Christmas break, and the need to create space for the 2019 General Elections.
NAN further reports that the sum of N8.73 trillion was presented to the joint parliamentary session by President Muhammadu Buhari on Dec. 19, 2018.
