Shehu Sani, the Senator representing Kaduna Central in the National Assembly, has accused the Federal Government of showing more concern over the extrajudicial killing of one person from the South West than the mass and continuous killings and Kidnappings in the North.
Reacting to the proactive intervention of the Federal Government over the extrajudicial killing of Kayode Johnson, the senator took to his Facebook page to draw the attention of the Federal Government to the mass killings in the North which have remained unattended to.
Senator Sani blames the neglect of the North on their inability to question power and the quest to always worship it.
According to him, the reason why the federal government paid attention to the ugly situation surrounding the death of Kayode is because the people of South-West always insist on holding the Government to account, and never gave up their right to question those in power, unlike their Northern counterparts who worship power, and never question it, nor hold Government accountable.
He wrote: “The FG shows more concern over the extrajudicial killing of one person from the South West over the mass and continuous killings and Kidnappings in the north, because the mass of the people from where the former victim comes from insisting on holding the Government to account; and never gave up their right to question power. Power driven by perception attends to those who question it not to those who worship it.”
