After months of uncertainties about his political future, Cross Rivers State Governor Ben Ayade has on Thursday dumped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Governor Ayde announced his decision on Thursday morning in a meeting with six APC governors who visited him at the Government House.
Mr. Ayade dumped PDP after having a running battle with the party in the state over the control of the party’s structures, which he does not have a hold on.
The governor has also not been participating in the recent events of the PDP governors, preferring to delegate his deputy instead.
