Many Nigerians noticed since last Wednesday, May 26th that they have been blocked from commenting on the official Twitter handle of President Muhammadu Buhari.
The President had made a post on the 26th about the visit of the Chairman of the Presidential Council of Libya, HE Mohammed Younis Menfi, where thr stability or instability of Libya as it directly affects Nigeria was discussed.
The President however, restricted the comment section from his 4 million followers.
Since then, President Muhammadu Buhari has gone ahead to make several other statements using his Twitter handle and continues to restrict the comment section.
President Buhari hardly makes media appearances, and did not continue with the monthly media chat instituted by his predecessors, President Olusegun Obasanjo and Goodluck Jonathan, leaving Nigerians with the social media as the only option to interact with him.
